Weaned our filly this week. We went gradually: she has shared a fence line with her dam for a few days, and has an old gelding babysitter for company.

For the breeders here, do you wean gradually or all at once? And what age do you aim for?

Not a breeder, just here to say please post photos of the filly.

Gradual, always. And the old babysitter gelding is the unsung hero of every breeding barn.
