SOPHIE — THE ULTIMATE SMOOTH & SAFE BABYSITTER “If you can sit on her, you can ride her.” — words straight from our daughter Ally Jo… and she DEFINITELY approves! Someone better scoop this sweet girl up before this child of ours talks us into keeping her too… because Lord knows we DO NOT NEED ANOTHER ONE! Meet Sophie, a 14-year-old Rocky Mountain mare standing 14 hands, and one of the sweetest, safest, most dependable mares you could put your family on. We got Sophie from a wonderful family that owned her for most of her life. Their daughter grew up riding Sophie for years, & their daughter has simply outgrown her and wants something bigger, with a little more “GO” than “WHOA.” And honestly… that says A LOT about this mare. Sophie is NON-MARISH and has the disposition everyone hopes for in a mare. She is loving, kind, willing, and genuinely enjoys being around people. She is MORE WHOA THAN GO, making her an excellent choice for someone looking for a calm, comfortable, easy-going ride. Looking for a horse for the kids, Momma, Daddy, Grandma, or Grandpa? Sophie is the girl you need! ✔️ NON-MARISH ✔️ NO KICK ✔️ NO BUCK ✔️ NO BITE ✔️ NO REAR ✔️ MORE WHOA THAN GO ✔️ Loving & kind ✔️ Sweet, willing disposition ✔️ Stands quietly for the farrier ✔️ Loads with ease ✔️ Unloads with ease ✔️ Rides alone ✔️ Rides in a group ✔️ Trail rides ✔️ Goes where you point her ✔️ Family-friendly personality ✔️ Stands to mount/dismount with mounting block ✔️ Easy to catch ✔️ Packs speakers/saddlebags Sophie is the kind of mare that gives you confidence, not anxiety. She isn’t looking for a fight, isn’t trying to be the boss, and doesn’t need someone to constantly ride her into submission. She’s simply a good, honest, dependable mare. And that’s getting harder and harder to find! She’s been a trusted family horse for years, and that speaks volumes about the kind of horse she is. Her previous family trusted their daughter & ours has trail-ridden her extensively for quite some time now, proving exactly what she is: safe & reliable in the front, middle, or back of the pack. She crosses creeks, logs, & ditches with ease, making sure her rider is taken care of, as everyone deserves. Sophie is now looking for the next family who will love her just as much & have her as a forever part of their life. Sophie is one of those mares you can imagine becoming part of the family, not just another horse in the pasture. Whether you’re looking for a babysitter for the kids, a safe trail partner, a horse for Momma or Grandma, or simply a sweet mare that you can enjoy without all the drama, Sophie deserves a serious look! COME TRY HER BEFORE YOU BUY HER! PPEs welcome. She has already had a vet check! Ask questions. Ride her yourself. Meet Charleston! He stands a strong 17hh and is a 7-year-old spotted draft gelding. Charleston is the best boy around; everywhere we take him, we’re reminded of how beautiful he is! He has a shiny tri-colored coat, a long mane and tail, and a personality to match. We have had him in our program for over a year. At home, he goes by Charlie or Charles, and he loves just about any treat you give him! He is the kind of horse who wants to be your best friend. He gets along great with other horses, ponies, mares, geldings, sheep, goats, and cows. Charles enjoys being part of the group. We have taught him so many things. He can side-pass onto a mounting block, fence, rock, or just about anything you want to use to get on. He will stand like a statue while you mount and will walk, trot, and canter off with the softest cues. He knows his leads as well. He will stop with a simple “whoa” and has wonderful transitions. Charlie is not fussy about bits and will happily ride in just a halter. He loves going on adventures and has been exposed to all kinds of things. Charlie is happy on the trails, riding through open fields, taking a dip in the river, exploring the woods, or just enjoying a relaxing ride around the farm. Traffic and wildlife don’t bother him. He has also been exposed to flags, tarps, bridges, pool noodles, umbrellas, fireworks, and whips. Charlie is happy to venture out alone or ride with a group. Recently, the kids at the farm have been riding him English, and he’s been having a blast! Charlie has been jumping and even doing flying lead changes. He knows how to work off seat and leg pressure, side pass, back up, and even spin like a Quarter Horse. Don’t let his size fool you—he’s athletic and light on his feet! Charlie recently attended a hunter pace and did fantastic! He will listen to the most subtle cues, making him an easy and enjoyable horse to ride. Charlie also knows how to drive and has been to many exciting parades and events. He will stand at stop signs and patiently wait while passengers climb on and off the carriage. He works single and double. Charlie has loads of training and experience under his belt and is looking for a family or person who wants a bigger horse to have fun with. He has the look and moves of a warmblood, with the brain of a slow and steady draft horse. Commander feels just as steady riding in the arena as he does hacking out alone, on a hunter pace with friends, or riding in a new place. He has been just about everywhere a horse can go, and been exposed to so many places, arenas, and scenarios, and every time he amazes us with his rock solid brain and easygoing temperament. He truly is a horse you can sit back and relax on. Let your reins out loose and enjoy your ride. In the barn, Commander loves people. He’ll be the first to the gate to greet you and would rather live in the house with you than the barn. The more time you spend in the barn with him the happier he’ll be. He is a good boy with good manners for all of the usual barn tasks and genuinely enjoys the attention he gets. He lives outside 24/7 with his pasture mates (mares, foals, and other geldings) He is the same horse if ridden every day or every other week.
